As of recently my netbook computer that I owned for my personal use broke quite terribly. The screen was cracked, completely accidentally, by myself from the lower left corner all the way up to the upper right, leaving a series of many cracks, black patches and blank white parts throughout the display. The lower right part of the screen is the only part that even remotely looks like it works and even then it’s static-y and the picture tends to waver.
As of now my only way on the internet is my school computer (which can only be used for school work all other sites are blocked so I don’t really know why I mentioned it), my mother’s computer (which is usually being fought over by my siblings so I rarely get it) and my phone (though very limited) until my computer is replaced.
The good news, however, is that my mother is - quite surprisingly and incredibly generously - offering to replace it for me, even upgrade possibly! But, it has to be within a $200-$400 price range and be bought and/or picked up at Wal-Mart. She also suggests I wait until her next pay day for a bit more financial wiggle room. If I order a new computer online from Wal-Mart (as the only ones they have in stock here, as far as I know, are Windows 8 powered and I’ve only heard bad things about Windows 8) and have it shipped to store after waiting for my mother’s pay day it will take at absolute least two weeks for me to get a replacement. Which means I’ll be online even less than before and my returning to several sites soon will be delayed even farther.
To my friends, I’m really, really sorry about all this and I’m going to try to find the quickest solution asap. But I also don’t want to cause too much trouble for my siblings or have my mom spend any more than she has to on my mistake, so it might take longer than I hope. Still, I’m going to try my best!
I’ll try to keep my Tumblr updated with news regarding the computer situation instead of clogging it up with random reblogs. Wish me luck!
